It is just basically Justice League (the superheroes) fighting against Legion of Doom (Cosmetia Empire) with Lex Luthor (Kirari) suddenly busting out a giant robot. Not so different from a steampunk world suddenly having a giant steam-powered robot like Steam Yuka or Matsuri-bot.
