Also: Steam stats are worth nothing without context. PC gaming is a global phenomenon unlike console gaming. Most countries do not even get a PS5, XBOX or Switch. Steam meanwhile can be installed on every poor third worlder PC and those users pull the average down quite harshly. But your friends in Brazil, Indonesia, Nicaragua and Botswana are not the target audience for those expensive AAA games anyway. Half the time they don't even bother doing regional pricing.
