>If you’re a depressed piece of shit in London, you will still be a depressed piece of shit in Japan
How exactly? I have a greater context for going there instead of in London where the only thing connecting you to others is work or god forbid uni and it's the same shit every time getting pissed 2-3 nights a week with the added extra of gouging rail prices and everything being so expensive. I grew up as an expat consuming US and Japanese media so I don't relate to the vast majority of people and the general culture here.
>you will be alienated and will never fully be accepted into Japanese society. You are not Japanese
As I said in >>2793852, I don't give two shits about being accepted into Jap society beyond basics. My primary interest is to mingle with other expats who escaped their libshit-ran globo holes in one of the last few decent countries on this earth. If the Japs like me somewhat, great. If they think I'm just another baka gaijin, great. I really don't care.
>When you have to live there and deal with the racism and bureaucracy it won’t be fairy tale land anymore and you won’t like it
Everywhere outside the west has this to some degree, of course I'd expect them to look after their own before anyone else. I don't care. You're certainly not treated much more favorably as a native in the UK either. I keep my head down, I pay my dues, I mostly play vidya and shitpost from one of those leopalaces or, if I have to, in a room in a guest house and go out with other expats from time to time, and that's pretty much it.
Again, I'm not expecting it to be perfect but it'll be a 10,000 meter step up from the UK, that's for sure.
