MC knew Hero got manipulated by the bitch saint into picking a fight, and still used the opportunity to go after him, honestly this just makes the mc look like a complete cunt with no dignity. You know MC would literally be shitting blood in indignation if the tables were reversed, hypocrisy never looks good.

And the story having designated "villain" factions in-universe is pissing me off enough to wish for a french revolution where all noble houses get butchered by peasants, what a stupid plot point to make the MC be hated without actually doing anything to earn the hate, fuck off with this shit and actually write a real story with real people, not those caricatures with zero brain cells.

Everyone time someone says "the villain family" I feel the urge to teleport across time and arrive exactly in the moment the author was writing this slop, just so I could bash his head against the table repeatedly, Japan had plenty of good, heart-wrenching political intrigue, just steal from that, stop using the brain dead video game logic that makes no sense in the story you are writing.
