Actually, being called skinny is a horrible insult in Pandaren culture, for it implies that the Pandaren in question is unable to acquire regular expansive meals. We Pandaren pride ourselves on our weight, which is part of the reason why we grow such vast quantities of food in the Valley of the Four Winds. While we try our hardest to remain humble, and not to stray into opulence and excess, an abundance of tasty meals is truly the most tangible indicator of Pandaren prosperity. Both on the small scale, and on the large scale, good times are measured by the flavour, the quantity and the variety of meals. There is a good reason why Pandaren politics are always discussed over feasts. Even the roots of our people's freedom and our very language as a whole can be traced back to mumbling while eating to avoid the Mogu listening in on our conversations. That is why the Pandaren language sounds like "om nom nom" to those who can not discern the intricate tonal shifts at play. I hope this talk has been as enlightening for you, as it has been for me.
