New/final big patch drops in August so what is mythic ilvl gear now will probably be the a few ilvls below normal gear then. Just do some dungeons, do the raid, find a character or two you like and you can gear it up to play next patch but I wouldn't stress hard about it. You only have access to your covenant's campaign and other events and activities. There are also a lot of cosmetics locked behind each covenant, that you can only equip if you belong to that covenant or if you grinded renown 50 with it. I miss the style of the old races. Maybe it's something about how they colored the textures to compensate for having no polygons but despite being cartoony it had an appealing grittiness to it. Everything they have is kind of already represented by other races. They just get to be the cute furry race. Realistically they could have gone different routes and made them more interesting. A heavier focus on their desert survival or being stuck between Sethrak and Zandalari could produce more interesting characteristics but they chose to focus only on aspects that make them palatable.
