Here's where things take a turn for the unusual.

Normally, I'd visit each zone somewhat methodically, taking plenty of photos all the while. But I happened to run into that rather strange-looking Hughmann from the Isle of Dawn, and together with a certain Lancer we later found, carved a path through the many, many forests surrounding Lumbertown with little time to stop and admire the lush scenery.
Ended up storming the infamous Bastion of Lok and came out the other side little worse for wear from it.

One thing I genuinely misremembered from Ye Olden Days of this title, was
just
how
S L O W the speed of combat is. At least when starting out. Incredibly lengthy animation locks on damn-near everything coats this title with a far more measured pace of play, compared to the lightning-fast stylings of v100 servers.
It's not a /bad/ feeling, per-say, just different. Very different. v32 truly does feel like an MMO from a much older era, when you're still rolling through the early goings.
