First of all, make it a fantasy setting. 12, 13, 15 and 16 are not really classic fantasy games. 12 is Star Wars in disguise with no fun allowed, 13 was some sci-fantasy shit, 15 is just Nomura's Italian vacation and 16 was trying to be Game of Thrones. The only non-human party member in all those was a very fuckable bunny girl, we didn't get a moogle or bangaa or a fucking yeti or anything because they're too "weird" for FF now.

Like, give us an airship pulled by a fucking dragon or something like that you'd see in classic fantasy.
