It's fine for what it is. I kinda miss the days when it was the go-to babby's first VN.
I think it suffers from a too many cooks problem. There's not really a clear driving vision even if it did technically have a director. That, and it has the blandest VN protagonist I've ever seen. I get that he's meant to be mopey and depressed about having to go to cripple school but he really doesn't have any defining traits beyond that.
I'd still say Lilly's, Rin's, and Emi's routes are pretty good.
