I guess I didn't think anything of it because I was aware there were weirdos in japan that pulled off similar disturbing shit before. for squidward's suicide it just didn't work and felt forced for the sake of shock value. truthfully I think it'd be more creative to have pictures of cosplayers from a time when they were still alive or at least publicly seen, and it only leaves the reader unsettled and questioning why those photos were there at all, giving off the impression that the person who modified the game was deranged and did god knows what to those cosplayers. the less you know, the worse.
