I feel like the only way Sakon/Ukon could've lived up to the expectation would be if they were god tier taijutsu fighters + used their kekkei genkai to essentially be budget Obito.

Well, not only does Kido get an entire volume dedicated to his fight but he also fights the strongest unboosted character on the leaf squad, he also has the best offense out of bunch.
The problem is that Tayuya is a girl and the Twins are a defensive builds and Kishi sucks at writing those unless he makes them straight up broken (see Gaara and Obito).
Sakon/Ukon should've been budget Obito any time they come in contact with flesh anyway.

You know, logically speaking, Sakon/Ukon's kekkei genkai should allow them to be budget Obito as long as they come into contact with flesh.
