Same crowds know jack shit about graphics and code optimization, don't have what it takes to customize the engine, and often are pushed by the publishers to make more and more generic trash, at faster and faster rate.
Everything is automated, approximated, and only "optimized" by using heavy as fuck upscalers, frame-gen, and a thick layer of TAA. All which ruin the visual glarity, stability, and make input lag worse.
To combat the criticism, they then hire the viral marketer groups to shitpost in the comment sections, PIebbit and 4chan, always retorting with "lol you're poor! :^)". They also always, always use still images and/or slooowmotion bullshot videos to showcase their trashy engine's capabilities.
