I read a local news story about a car that was struck by an airborne van while driving down the freeway. Apparently the van drove on to a section of grass between the off ramp and straight, continued full speed and launched (that is the word the police used) over the hill to the multi lane freeway below. There were no fatalities and only two vehicles involved. Only major injuries. That is my fear. Not that I get hit by bad fortune falling of the sky, but that I continue to live as a cripple instead of just dying on the spot.
