God seeks, foremost, the salvation of our souls as immortal, eternal beings. Kids scrape their knees and get bruises trying to learn to ride a bike. This life is the learning stage.

I address the old believers here:
>Old Believers are schismatics, same with all groups that separate from the Body of Christ for any reason. As Fr Josiah says about marriage, as soon as one of you use the word "divorce" then whatever led to the fight in the first place no longer matters: now the sole issue is the fact that one of you thought it was okay to suggest separation. It overshadows any other reason.
He isn't the buddha because an Orthodox Saint necessitates right-belief. That's why the comment said that we don't know who in the 11th century is actually an Orthodox Saint after the Schism, because due to time and place and availability of information locally, many people who were normal Christians might not have changed whatsoever despite what the Pope said in Rome, which could have been thousands of miles away from them. If the story of the Saint came from myths or a game of telephone from the buddha, then that's just one for the history books. Thus the comment said we don't have a complete list of Saints, only those known for certain by the whole Church are a safe bet. This operates inversely, of course. Not everyone who is a Saint becomes publicly known, in fact most aren't, they're just quiet. God chooses specific ones to hold up for us for the benefit of us all though.

Imagine thinking you are right and everyone else is wrong. How delusional must one be?
