Nice bird.There was a junco with red feathers here today. I like the crows and the juncos. I like all the birds really. Stellar-Jays are also cool, as are the humming-birds. Personable birds all around.
I've also seen bald-eagles, hawks and very large birds here gliding high I cannot identify. They were flying from the north headed straight south on the winds. There were eleven of them, and even the smallest of them were larger than any bald-eagle I have seen. They were a glossy darker brown, somewhat similar to golden eagles. The largest I am estimating had a wingspan of 16 to 18 feet. They might have been what Natives called "Thunderbirds". I don't know. I live in Washington State.
