I’m just so jaded with capeshit. I have no issue with the fundamental whimsicality but Gunn still ended up making slop. Visually it’s horrendous and the script is far far from polished. Given the hype it had zero reason to go below MoS but here we are. It’s not a big hole but it’s the same will you/won’t you position WB was in after JL was a flop and Aquaman was a hit. I don’t think anything on the slate is going to help dig Gunn out especially the tv shows. If Supergirl doesn’t make more than this things will get dark really fast. The only way out is to fast track a Superman sequel and hope it proves momentum. Reeves, if he has any self respect and intellect, won’t agree to merge because it will only drag him down. It’s inevitable Gunnfags will turn on him for that. Given the 50 year history of DC cinema I doubt the DCU and Gunn will have a happy ending.
