Is the Way of Kings (and the subsequent series) as good as I've seen people say?

I've read Warbreaker and the first two Mistborn books (based on coworker recommendations) and I only enjoyed the second half of Warbreaker and the first book of Mistborn, but didn't enjoy either that much. I find his character writing to be weak for the most part, beyond a few more interesting characters.
