yea its pretty hectic, at one point they even made special tools to help make it easier. (TL-CB10 Proset )
but for the most part so long as the straddle wire is at around a 90 degree angle when the pads touch the rim things should be ok.
iirc its about 70% efficient, ie 10 kg of grip force at the hand lever should deliver 7 kg of braking force to the pads.

some further investigations seems to point to this mini v brake having arms 80 mm long,
where as the RX1 has arms 85 mm long, so its a very minor difference,
the main difference between the two is the 926AL has thicker stronger arms.

the parktool youtube channel has some good instructional videos, nice and clear procedures.
I'm self taught so my methods are a bit hacky, main thing is to take your time and keep calm,
sometimes its better to walk away and fix things later with a more clear mind.
