Asa is clumsy and awkwardly stands as well as sits with her feet far apart. Makima is always confidently keep ling her legs together and each movement she makes is calculated and graceful.

Asa freaks out and over reacts all the time, shows genuine concern, and becomes visibly annoyed. Makima barely emotes beyond subtle smiles and frowns except for that one time at the movies.

Asa has plenty of panels for her erratic, clumsy moves in fights. Makima panels are always dramatic and cool.

Asa has teenage girl problems and a savior complex. Makima is a cold, calculating boss behind a desk that kills people from a distance.

It takes a long time to know anything about Makima while Asa is an open book in her first debut chapter.

Again you keep narrowing things down to a single panel or page. This last chapter proves Asa can't ignore it when knowing Denji is in danger and suffering. She puts up a front until she can't and her words indicate she wants to hear from Denji his ideas on what would make him happy. Denji also put up a front to have fun with Yoru but deep down he still thinks he isn't worth caring about.
