There are also aspects of Denji that Yoru likes, which Asa doesn't. She seemed quite happy with him eating the tree cucks, and trying to blow Yoshida's brains out. Also she would've liked to see him just saw through Fakesaw without caring one bit about the random CSM fans.
They don't like Denji for the exact same reasons. Asa gets horrified by Denji's devil side, while Yoru encourages it.
However I don't think Denji is a guy who's really capable of "choosing". He only "chose" to kill Makima because Makima left him absolutely no choice on the matter. Last chapter has me trying to remember how much of the fandoms understanding of the power systems in CSM is just head canon, cause I also thought each weapon was single use but I don’t think this was ever actually stated. People just assumed that the weapons broke off screen but apparently Yoru was speaking literally when she said she was building a stockpile of powerful weapons to fight Pochita with.

I’m also starting to realize that the gun and tank gauntlets had a lot of head canon around them too, apparently her right hand can use either the gun or tank abilities it doesn’t matter which one fires or not.

It seemed obvious to me that when Yoru weaponizes Devils, it works roughly like Makima's control ability, in that she gains access to their abilities. Perhaps even to a greater extent as Makima never showed Gun's ability to turn body parts into weapons like Aki as Gun Fiend and Yoru now have.
This makes for some interesting possibilities if Yoru ends up weaponizing other Devils.
