Turn an immortal human who is already a weapon hybrid into a weapon, the same human that Yoru is madly in love with? Asa isn't dying because she's 'Chainsaw Woman', she embodies the same themes of endless persitence in the face of adversity as Denji does, the parallels she has with him exist for a reason. She is a traumatized teenager with no support that constantly has her wants and needs exploited by figures of authority seeking to gain something from her, yet in spite of suffering she clings to life due to the promise of a better one. Every single decision she has made in the story was to survive, despite having increasingly good reasons to off herself. Her current predicament is very close to the figurative "A tiger above and a deadly fall beneath, but a delicious strawberry on the branch that she holds on to." where the strawberry seems to be Denji, aka, the promise of love, Denji is also in a similar situation.
People that think that Asa will die because Aki did greatly misunderstand both characters.
