Well, the funny thing is that manga is kind of like the Michael Bay movie of mangas. It's unapologetic slop with freakin' godzilla and aliens and mechas, and everything else you can think of, thrown in to make for the biggest possible spectacle.
Really a weird manga to bait with because it's often criticized for not having much in the way of character writing. Characters die or get side-lined even more abruptly than in a Fujimoto manga, the protagonist hasn't been seen for a year at this point.

Asa isn't dying because she's 'Chainsaw Woman', she embodies the same themes of endless persitence in the face of adversity as Denji does, the parallels she has with him exist for a reason. She is a traumatized teenager with no support that constantly has her wants and needs exploited by figures of authority seeking to gain something from her, yet in spite of suffering she clings to life due to the promise of a better one. Every single decision she has made in the story was to survive, despite having increasingly good reasons to off herself. Her current predicament is very close to the figurative "A tiger above and a deadly fall beneath, but a delicious strawberry on the branch that she holds on to." where the strawberry seems to be Denji, aka, the promise of love, Denji is also in a similar situation.

People that think that Asa will die because Aki did greatly misunderstand both characters.

It did sort of get proven early on that Yoru's probably just bluffing about that, as she didn't do anything when Asa refused to obey her multiple times. She's also had a bit of build-up as a Devil who requires others' attention and is willing to create bonds even with other devils, as long as they act subservient to her.
I do agree that more of this stuff should be shown to the readers but Fujimoto seems to be hell-bent on experimenting on what he calls his "techniques" of conveying things with minimal dialogue and exposition.

I'm very skeptical to say that these problems are due to his "techniques", especially since they seem to affect Part 2 and specifically Asa's character the most. Denji has plenty of moments of introspection, he had a very lengthy reflection over the handjob and we saw all of it, even recently he pondered if he's about to get screwed over again because "a dangerous lady likes him".

It is partially that, because he obviously expects the reader to take in a lot of information from just Asa's expressions. He spent such a long time on Asa early on because he wanted to establish her personality and ways of reacting to the reader, so that they'd be able to make "reads" on her later on in the series when she's no longer receiving such a heavy focus.
The problem is that's a lot easier to do in a movie than a manga format, especially when his art has suffered quite a bit from the early stages.
She has a lot of established "cues" for what she's feeling, and what her actual intentions are behind the words, and Yoru is to some degree a tool she uses to impose her will at times, but it's not really subject of debate that people are interested in.

He did do it when the art was comparable. But when the art fell off, so did his ability to convey things through that medium. Less innovative paneling, less detail on the face to convey expressions, just less effort in general, which ultimately makes the reader care less also.
Aki's story is also pretty a "safe" bet compared to running with a character like Asa, it's one of those stories that's been done a million times and the template pretty much always works.
Fujimoto never really mentions the character because I think he knows that he wasn't exactly inventing the wheel with that one.

Asa has Yoru absorb the blow for nearly all of the gags, stupidity and morally wrong choices. Her reasons for helping Denji is so that she won't feel indebted to him for being saved, while also exorcising a malevolent demon possessing her.
Meanwhile, Denji has been made out to be a literal dog for people since day one, being the butt of the joke at nearly every turn, even used as a damn stool by people, and his motivation for all of it is primarily that he could feel up some boobs.
Asa never ever has her misery made fun of in the same way as Denji, Kobeni or Fami or another character like that.

And I strongly dislike this direction for her character.
Instead of using Asa as a narrative anchor point, she is being treated as this "elusive magical creature" for the sake of propping ambiguity and mystery surrounding her actions and motivations. It's almost as if we're seeing Asa through the eyes of another...and that would very likely be Denji's, further supported by the fact that we still see Denji's inner monologues, and as much as I wouldn't like to see it that way, it's hard not to think that this is due to AsaDen.
This kinda sucks because it carries the implication that her character exists entirely in function of another, again, this wouldn't bother me at all if Aki and Denji weren't different, especially Aki. In laconics, in recent writing it feels like Asa is effectively being treated as "the good human side of Denjis girlfriend" while Yoru is "the bad devil side".

This idea of "putting a veil" on her character to prop speculation from the readers kinda falls apart at the seams when you consider that lots of situations that were "obscured" are completely new to Asa herself, such as dropping out of school(presumably), fighting monsters, becoming a celebrity then a terrorist, getting grievously injuried etc.

Kinda circles back to the initial argument and why I haven't been particularly fond of AsaDen, for both Denji, Asa and everyone else. My greatest (c)hope is that eventually the "POV" will return to Asa to tackle things like her chicken dream, which presumably reflects the her darkest hour that can only really exist from her perspective. It would royally suck if Fujimoto keeps this "outsider's perspective" with Asa through stuff like the aforementioned chicken dream, dealing with Yoru and Death, a poor decision to rival big lebowski itself.

You're focusing too much on the character's reputations and overlooking the greater picture.
Denji's misfortune and poor treatment is always depicted as undeserving, tragic and the people that treat him as such are always depicted as evil, shortsighted and ultimately incompetent. Despite on the surface making Denji look like a foo, the story celebrates his suffering and uses it to placate the power fantasy elements of Denji's character, like the whole "greatest devil hunter" thingy.

In contrast Asa's suffering is largely ignored, she is being cheated out of her relationship from the guy she spent the entirety of Part 2 trying to save by the woman that she saved him from. Asa never has big triumphant moments like Denji has either and barely anyone in the narrative cares about her, she can't be a mary sue.

Asa is not really intended to be "purely good", there's plenty of selfishness and self-delusion behind her actions, but the CSM fanbase is honestly too fragile to discuss it, preferring that she be written as a purely good superhero instead, whose actions are always portrayed in the most favorable light, or otherwise they throw a fit.
For example this thread is filled with people crying about Asa being Denji's doormat/servant when it's clearly her who has brought Denji along this crazy ride they've been on in order to feel good about "saving him", as well as the objective of getting rid of Yoru. Every single request Denji actually made to her, Asa denied or acted unhappy about.
And when Denji strayed away from her plan, she willingly brought out Yoru to enforce her will due to feelings of frustration and jealousness.
This sort of "savior complex" has not been portrayed as a good thing throughout P2, it led to the doom of Yuko and plenty other Fire Devils victims, Fami is also another "caricature" of misguided empathy that has deadly consequences for others.
