Nah, Toriyama looks deceptively simple because he makes it so easy to follow, but his choreography is very hard to pull off because his fights follow the basic elements of a dance which is:

>rhythmic pacing
>spatial control
>cooperation
>sequence
>timing of a prearranged set of moves
That's why you can remember every step of Goku vs Vegeta or Goku vs Piccolo, but not what the hell happened in half the Demon Slayer fights for example because Toriyama wasn't drawing highlight reels, he was drawing fights. If it feels 'repetitive,' that's because you’re not used to clarity. You don’t need gimmicks when the choreography actually works.
