He obviously lied about masks early on, saying they didn't work despite knowing they likely did, to try to not worsen a severe mask shortage for doctors and nurses. Everyone knows about this. Of course all the retards don't even care about this though because they stupidly think the opposite (that they lied about masks working and that they actually don't work).

(N95 masks work pretty well, especially if multiple people have them. Cloth masks highly vary but are almost always better than nothing despite always being much worse than N95 masks.)
