No joke the reason most people hated Malenia beyond reason was because their playstyle was completely countered by her design, if you weren't aggresive and knew how to dodge and take advantage of openings you'd make quick work of her, waterfowl was bullshit but if you weren't braindead, had decent vigor and armor, you could survive it

Malenia directly countered the vast majority of shitter options, she closed space super fast on mages, summons and mimics made her restore way more HP as the fight went on and waterfowl was a huge vigorcheck so anyone running under 40 was blended to fuck by it

Phase 2 added to this by making sure anyone unprepared to deal with status by just crafting some goddamn boluses would suffer even more.

I mainly suffered on her because I was fully blind in my first playthorugh, missed a bunch of shit and even some flasks and refused to level past 100 before finishing the game because im not a pussy, shit I was running a quality build, and those fucking SUCK in the mid levels
