Have had the same thought train.
Get micro 1911, shoot it to make sure it works, get it cut for the DPO/AOS plate or buy a 1911 pre cut for one of these two. The eleven 71 design seems to be the only irons forward plate for the 1911, Vulcan machine works has done some irons forward cuts too but those are direct mount.

Pic related is the 509T plate but they have RMR, EPS, etc. btw the EPS plate is a true EPS plate and cannot fit anything else.
