Across Asia the Drums Begin

North Korea crosses the DMZ and invades South Korea. Hours later, it mobilized all of its demobilized units. Seoul is under heavy artillery and missile fire. The South Korean government has sent word to Tokio that it needs reinforcement, ASAP.

Nippon intelligence has indicated that this is the prelude to full-scale total war across Asia. It is not a question of if Shina will enter the war but when.

Tokio has reacted by immediately withdrawing the Intervention Force from America. After almost two years of fighting in the plains and mountains, the Nippon soldier is glad to be returning home, even if most of the Army recognizes that war in Asia is coming.

Tokio has deployed armies across Asia:
>Indian-Pakistani border--18 armored divisions
>Cambodia-Vietnamese border--18 divisions
>Laos-Vietnamese border--8 divisions
>Shina-Vietnamese border--14 divisions

An additional 18 armored divisions are held in reserve to be deployed to Chosen should Nippon formally enter the war.

The Air Force currently consists of approximately 4,000 fighter jets and 1,000 CAS.

The Nippon Navy has 17 (!) carriers, 3 missile cruisers, 41 destroyers, 67 frigates, 8 corvettes, and 40 submarines.

Nippon is about as ready for war as it can be. Whether it is enough, time will tell.
