Level design would have been god tier if
>every area had at least 2 or 3 new items instead of 1
>at least 2 unique enemy mobs that are native to said area
Right now you get maybe 1 new weapon and a big maybe for outfits, and the rest are just red mercury, consumables and upgrades. Unique enemies are either just encountered in one area of a very huge map, mostly to throw you off or a mini boss that doesn't respawn

It's a 7/10 for me in this regard. Would have been an 8 with if the game actually ran properly so I could enjoy the atmosphere because it does look really good at times
