Journos despise Nintendo. They all grew up with PS1 and shitting on Nintendo for being for kids.
They were writing "Nintendo is going 3rd party" articles every day during Wii U years. Even in fucking 2018 they were writing shit like "Switch's story is exhausted".
Nintendo doesn't give them freebies for just existing.
Nintendo cut them off by inventing Directs so they couldn't just spread lies unchecked.
There's also the "issue" with Nintendo being Japanese. Journos hate anything Japanese.
