The greymon line is extracted from Machinedramon so it's things being taken away until you get Agumon while the garurumon line is three right turns from a naked yellow lizard acquiring pelt data to become garurumon, martial arts data to be weregarurumon and then digizoid data so it's less coherent. One line is top-down and the other is bottom-up design so they can't be perfect mirrors.
