Fougere for most classic. Chypre for some green edge. The most safe note is Lavender.
Lavender + Vanilla + Musk is a fougere.
If you want a nice easy approachable work safe but fun smell that has a thin line of tobacco try The One by Dolce and Gabanna. The Eau de Toilette specifically. The Eau de Parfum is heavier and less work safe.
