Anime discussion has gone to shit once the community got flooded with Mexicans who've only watched like DBZ, Bleach, and Gurren Lagaan. I don't know what it is SPECIFICALLY about Gurren Lagaan and Dragon Ball but those series are beacons for Tourists who would die if you tried to make them watch something by Tomino or Matsumoto. Hell something like Slayers is probably too much with these people
