You can theoretically go for boards beyond the standard map size, like with this one. But there could be some issues with moving over that much land. There's some enhancements and equipment that can help a bit, but you'd still be footslogging it over a lot of area.

Sure it would be cool if they released rules for vehicles that are tuned to a 16x8 or 16x16 board size. But can't really count on that occurring anytime soon. Vehicles are a big part of Halo, certainly. But I at least feel like rules for Grunts, Jackals, Marines, Hunters, etc. should have higher priority.

>The ruleset is good... but yeah, setting any Halo Property post Covenent War is a big turn-off for me as well.
There's likely to be a bit of post-Covenant content, but at the same time, the ODST release has Buck as he was as an ODST rather than the later Halo 5 lore of him becoming a Spartan IV.

Treat the Spartan units as IIs or Noble Team-like IIIs and So long as you ain't fighting Atriox, you'll generally be able to vibe with it being the Covenant war. Especially if you are playing with friends and all agree to set aside any post-Covenant weapons.
