i took that picture right after i fought a BT in the sand dunes, and thats as the tar is receding back into the earth. for a minute or two the sand was covered in a thing black layer and looked really cool and reflective, so i took that shot
what the other anon said about the white out as sam leaves buildings and goes out into the sun happened to me too, it was totally intentional and always disappeared after a while. i'm just not used to how bright this tv is in general, but the game never looked "off" to me
