It's hard to tell how much of my enjoyment was because of seeing the series evolve from 1-4 and how much of it was genuinely good. The only thing I remember despising was the beginning of Saijima's section as you have no fucking tools on deck. The other most egregious issue was Tanimura's final fight (I didn't have the bulletproof vest). That made me want to scream at the screen. The only worse fight was the Jingu fight in Kiwami 1.

Sooooo easy. In no particular order it goes

1. Lost Judgement
>It's baffling that I consider Judgement to be fucking incredible but this title was just an exercise in frustration. Keep in mind, ALL of my issues are because of story and pacing. Gameplay itself is fine, but locking almost all the side content behind the School was a kick in the dick. Robot club can eat shit.

2. Yakuza 3
>My issues are almost entirely gameplay based. It just didn't quite feel right, with Kiryu being able to execute five 360 degree turns in 1 second. Going from the PS2 title to this was a treat though. Truth be told I still like this title.

3. Kiwami 1
>This title can eat a double decker shit sandwich. Just fucking pissed me off. It's a game that only becomes enjoyable once the combat opens up and that takes so goddamn long. Also this title had THE WORST BOSSES in the franchise. I remember the Swat Team being bad, but this was atrocious.

Most underrated title would go to "Man Who Erased His Name". I think by itself is a GREAT and focused entry (so needed after Lost Judgement), but when paired with Yakuza 6 as a one-two punch it's elevated it kino status.

I think the reason why I enjoy it is because it doesn't take away from Yakuza 2. It's clearly the superior version and sits in my top 3. So I'm evaluating it exclusively as a companion piece. Kiwami 1 on the other hand just pissed me off on a fundamental level. But yeah, I'll admit that Kiwami 2 is a nostalgia evaluation.
