yeah the spanish really rescued them by killing 90% of them and forcing the rest to do brutal slave labour in mines for 4 centuries
>>17941295
yeah the natives did bad stuff too. Us adults don't think you should burn thousands of years of historical books and kill tens of millions because they hurt your feelings

>thats a vast oversimplification. they said some of their sewage systems were like the venice of the americas
You're the one oversimplifying(or lets be honest, outright lying) here. They did not just compliment the sewer systems, they were amazed by the size, the health and happiness of the average population, the cleanliness and safety, the running water in nearly every home, low crime rate, public education, public sports, one of the largest markets on earth with extreme diversity in products, the fertility of the gardens, aqueducts, complex dams and drawbridges, etc etc etc. You don't call a city "Venice of the Americas" because of its fucking sewers, its insane you actually expected anyone to buy your bullshit.

>temples covered in flayed skins and burning human hearts on braziers
Easiest way to tell you're underage or sub 90IQ is this ridiculous two wrongs make a right reasoning. Not even 1% of the population would ever be sacrificed even while mexico was occupied by the most warlike and sacrifice happy empire the new world had ever seen in 2000 years of history, and an overwhelming majority of those were criminals or war captives(The spanish would normally execute these) and willing participants.
Yeah, it was bad, horrible even, but it doesn't even remotely compare to or JUSTIFY the cruelty the spanish would inflict on them afterwards. You don't "rescue" people by murdering 90-95% of them and then forcing them to do brutal slave labour, you're either ignorant or retarded.
