It stays slice of life focusing on weddings and romance the entire time. The only politics is the talk of Russians encroaching on their land, but it's 15 volumes in and the Russians still haven't done shit. It's a D plot at most, sometimes there are action scenes on the silk road but it's mostly slice of life. Volume 14 was a masterpiece with peak Kazahk steppes horse racing and introduction of a few new cute steppes waifus
