>fuck japan
Say it, anon. Say it
I had a similar experience, although in the 2010s (I'm 37). I also was a huge japanophile, I'm JLPT 1kyu, wanted to move to Japan, etc.
All my experiences with Japan and Japanese people have been utter shit. They're a bunch of fake, ungrateful and manipulative cretins and all their culture pretty much revolves around that. It's hard to realize Japan isn't the paradise that is sold to us by media but that's the truth (probably worse today). At first I thought it was my problem, even that God didn't want that (was a believer at the time) but then I started understanding the culture and reading experiences of both Europeans and Americans in Japan or with japs and they'd tell more or less the exact same situations I had to deal with. And don't get me started in the women. Japanese women are the worst. Working in Japan can be hell unlike what those YouTubers sell you
I can elaborate or tell more stories of any topic if you want. For me Japan is only manga and anime today, and maybe some cooking I still do. Other than that I don't miss the culture at all. It has a very strong soft power and creates a very idealized image of it and difficult to break through it
Nowadays I'd go back to live in Japan but for pure hedonism, to live secluded in an apartment in Tokyo and consoom, walk the city at night and nothing else. "Being accepted" and all that retardation isn't worth it. You have to see Japan as a big playground and nothing else
