>apparently facing a demographic crisis
but also
>wouldn't hire me to teach English or any other Japan-related job
>all Japanese friends have stopped talking to me
>can't even take the JLPT yet again
I almost want to say "fuck Japan," but I can't. I can't bring myself to hate Japan, even in spite of the many war crimes.

I don't like that very much.

Why can you not take the JLPT? Also, they likely want you to have a bachelors degree at the very least before accepting a random foreigner that has not even taken the JLPT

It's been cancelled for the 2nd year in a row at the location nearest to me. No way am I flying all the way to some other state just for a 4 hour exam (not that I could afford to anyway).

>fuck japan
Say it, anon. Say it

I had a similar experience, although in the 2010s (I'm 37). I also was a huge japanophile, I'm JLPT 1kyu, wanted to move to Japan, etc.

All my experiences with Japan and Japanese people have been utter shit. They're a bunch of fake, ungrateful and manipulative cretins and all their culture pretty much revolves around that. It's hard to realize Japan isn't the paradise that is sold to us by media but that's the truth (probably worse today). At first I thought it was my problem, even that God didn't want that (was a believer at the time) but then I started understanding the culture and reading experiences of both Europeans and Americans in Japan or with japs and they'd tell more or less the exact same situations I had to deal with. And don't get me started in the women. Japanese women are the worst. Working in Japan can be hell unlike what those YouTubers sell you

I can elaborate or tell more stories of any topic if you want. For me Japan is only manga and anime today, and maybe some cooking I still do. Other than that I don't miss the culture at all. It has a very strong soft power and creates a very idealized image of it and difficult to break through it

Nowadays I'd go back to live in Japan but for pure hedonism, to live secluded in an apartment in Tokyo and consoom, walk the city at night and nothing else. "Being accepted" and all that retardation isn't worth it. You have to see Japan as a big playground and nothing else

I've been telling myself a lot of that lately (and looking more into "the real Japan" podcasts and such), so yeah. I had two female Japanese friends in particular 10 years ago, but they departed from my life rather abruptly despite having 'known' each other for a couple of years (one told me to die in a fire, and the other didn't want me talking about my interests/hobbies related to Japan). What's more, is that the volunteer program I did in university with Japanese transfer students felt 'right' at the time (which was also 10 years ago), but today, not a single one of them keep in contact with me. It seems you've lived the life I want to, and experienced what I dreamt of. These days, I mostly just watch anime and such, and there's a Japanese grocery store I go to on the other side of the state. But, it's seeming like I should focus on Korea or elsewhere instead. Still, my sentiment remains.
>JLPT N1kyu
I failed N3 four times, and N2 three times. I only passed N4 in 2015.

Take the Greyhound or Amtrak like a real poor person. Sounds like a lot of excuses. They want someone with documented education. The JLPT is the bare minimum and if you do not have a bachelors in business or language it makes things harder for you as well

I took a Greyhound in 2007 across three states twice; it was a long, long ride that would've been boring had it not been for my Gameboy Advance (with Pokemon Emerald). I do have two bachelor's degrees, neither STEM, but that wasn't the intention (or the option) to begin with.

That's a very common occurrence. They discard you when you're not worth anything for them or after you did whatever they wanted from you

I also had some sort of role receiving Japanese exchange students at my university and guiding them on the city and stuff like that. The "normal" ones pretty much did the same to me. Some even after I defended them from accusations which today I realize were likely true (harassment and shit). The others seemed retarded, not "le based autistic xD" but genuinely disabled, I have no idea how a society can function with people like that, japs imo are some sort of human dodos.

If I'd can go back in time I'd probably still study Japanese for anime/manga but wouldn't dedicate so many years of my life to such a country and culture. Besides, I grew up with a "90s" Japan image in my mind, something that didn't exist already when I started studying Japanese (2000s), the Japan I was interested in simply doesn't exist

Same; I feel all of that. It really sucks because, well...I guess it means that all of those experiences (even at a Japanese NGO where I interned for a year) were more important to ME than to the people/institutions to which I was lending myself. I went to Akihabara for a few days at the end of 2010 (which was also the only time I've actually been to Japan), and that was the happiest time of my life. Can't replicate that now, with them having shut down the Gundam Cafe, the Sega Arcade is gone, and some other things as well...

They act friendly and stuff at first but then they ghost you outta nowhere for no apparent reason

An entire group of them (5 people) which I was tasked to guide around the city, gave them info, etc, ghosted me for no apparent reason. I treated them with utmost respect (I was like 20) and stuff. I had to talk with the "leader" (the function like that, make groups with hierarchy even for friendship), the others only interacted through him.

Another one, was my dearest friend, we shared so much together. After he went back to Japan all of a sudden ghosted me on Facebook and never answered me nor explained why. He cheated on several of my classmates, harassed one of them (technically raped her), would take creepshots all day (the perversion part is another constant, virtually 99% of the Japanese I've met outside of Japan were all creepy weirdos, took photos of women and kids, etc)

A girlI met through him who also became my friend, she added me on Facebook. Same thing, went back to Japan and ghosted me. When I commented in one photo and another jap asked who I was she replied "I don't know, I never met this person"

And the list can go on forever. Japs in Japan may be even more difficult to deal, they see you as cattle. There's a saying "you'll never have Japanese friends in Japan" and it's pretty much true. Virtually every foreigner I've met there was friend with other foreigner, even nikkeis avoid the japs and gather with foreigners. Nikkeis are also treated like garbage by the Japanese

To plumb the depths of the low IQ mind you have to accept that they are swayed outwardly by advertisements, hearsay, stories, et cetera and inwardly by superstitions and primal emotions such as hunger, fear, etc.
Notice how Japan-bitching is cemented always in a sense of "disillusionment" that the average lifestyle they were exposed to was not some cartoonishly decadent parody of itself to be offered for free to some of the lowest, most unskilled and least hardworking members of society. That the Japanese people did not roll out the red carpet for them, and young women weren't reciprocating their lust for them. Indeed, in their minds, integration into Japanese society was surely to be complete, immediate and frictionless regardless of ability or virtue. Everyone more successful than them are clearly just more miserly and more fervently scheming sycophants, but everyone at their level or below is an ideal candidate to commiserate since they see the truth.

Iktf. 100%. They mostly don't care how interested you are in their culture or your hard work, they see it as "lol stupid gaijin, keep going". It's even worse for people who join kaishas as foreigners. I've known a lot of stories by people who were outright robbed by the company, their contracts ignored (but like, in their own face. They complained about something and brought the signed contract and the jap boss was like "what do you mean with a contract lmao")

Most of the happy gaijin you see vlogging either live in a bubble or outright lie. Most foreigners, specially westerners, I've met in Japan were pretty much miserable and depressed.

Pretty accurate in my experience, yes. Although thr mongoloids who speak Japanese would go under the other foreigners. As soon as they realize a Chinese or Korean passing as Japanese was lying to them they'd kick them out the place

Also nikkeis (jap descent born overseas) would go in the same level of zainichi

Weird, I am Black American and I dont know a single word of nihongo but the Japanese government literaly begged me to go to Japan.
I went of course, I had so much sex here, 2 new virgin japanese girls every week, lol, I made a few of them BBC addicts and impregnated at lest 90 girls.

Well then, I guess it's ultimately a good thing I wasn't hired or considered for any positions. I guess it also means I don't have to keep engaging in pro-Japan cultural events...except of course, for anime cons.

I'm going to go meditate on all of this.

The deconstruction process takes time (in my case more than a decade), even more if you put so much on this. It's painful, but better before than later. I enjoy Japanese stuff a little more since I recognized its OK to just like anime and not caring about the country itself

>ultimately a good thing I wasn't hired or considered for any positions.
See Anon, all you have to know is, the japanese threat their own as fucking slaves and human garbage. Now think about how would they do with foreigners. Wish I understood this in the past

Most gaijin success stories in japanese kaishas are exceptional cases, sometimes even token cases to say "look we're not racist!". I guess in a way I learned how it feels to be pajeet or an african in the west since the treatment may be similar, except the west with all its faults is unironically more tolerant and humane

Absolutely. A Portuguese friend who also lived in Japan once told me "it's a third world country with technology and safety" and in my opinion it's pretty accurate. A lot of the stuff I've seen in Japan were more of a third world shithole. Or maybe second world at least

Just look how the medicine system and doctors work there, it's inhumane. You'll understand why in anime characters get so sad and worried when somebody gets a cold or something simple like that. Needing a doctor = risk of death
