Also, the only people who unironically use terms like "male gaze" and "female gaze" are in fact collosally virginal terminally online feminists to begin with. They use the term "female-targeted" in Japan and most of that stuff is full of what loser terminally online feminists who are only feminists because they can't get laid call "male-gaze" as in: pretty female characters with an interesting personality.

They basically invented a reality out of cope that their precious female allies supposedly hate that shit and then resort to weird logic like "muh brainwashed by society!" or whatever else copium when they're confronted with the reality that 90% of the people who buy those magazines are still female and that their theories that the average female is put off by that are just wrong.

If you read a magazine like Mobile Flower or whatever you're just going to get covers like this. Sucks to be them but in the end half of the chapters are from the perspective of the male character and the female character has a lot of personality and backstory and is pretty. The only people who want a faceless self-insert are pathetic losers who see interesting characters are competition.
