Yes, some politicians don't care about children and are doing these things for many reasons, I stated a few.

Not all politicians have a sinister ulterior motive. I understand disliking authority and government, but it's actually naive to think they never have your interests at heart. Many politicians are simply too stupid to think of the ramifications of their actions, it's why they constantly propose solutions that are technically infeasible/impossible and make no sense. Look at the state of governments around the world, don't you understand how STUPID these people are? Many of them genuinely believe in what they say.
