Something I've noticed is that male-oriented waifu art tends to contain more blank slates/faceless male stand-in characters, while female-oriented husbando art usually contains some other female character that's defined enough to where self-insertion is a little more difficult.

Also, there seems to be a lot more solo waifu art than solo husbando art. Porn of female characters tends to have said characters looking directly at the screen (or the faceless male insert), while males are usually looking at another non-self insert.

It's just an interesting thing I've noticed, but I was wondering if there's any explanations as to why this is the case, psychological or otherwise
