I wonder how many new Trek fans only got into the show because they are Kurtzman fans? Full on Kurtzheads who slept over night in the line to buy tickets for the opening of The Mummy. Own the DVD boxset of The Man Who Fell to Earth. Just big fans who follow the Kurtz-man from project to project and love is auteur touch. Gotta be thousands or tens of thousands of them.

Also I just found out something, but you guys have to promise not to bully him about is. So, everybody knows his middle name is 'Hilary'. That shows up in the little info box when you google him. But, did you know, his first directing credit on IMDB. He is credited as: Alex Kurtzman-Counter. 'Counter' is his wife's maiden name. He took his wife's name.
