It's an American thing. Combination of wanting to go fast, retarded slow drivers clogging up the fast lane or only lane, and motherfuckers who seriously cannot drive and you just need to get fuck away from them. It's not a joke, they seriously do hand out licenses to anyone in this country.
Also, I'm mentally ill and must be weaving through traffic or I freak out. Not uncoincidental that I am that way and I grew up driving in the state with the worst drivers.

It is Pando Moto Skin UH003 armored base layer shirt. I also have the Skin UH AAA pants.
It's pretty high tech stuff, I should have a video on it. Cooling fabric, skin tight, abrasion protection. It's expensive as fuck for a reason.
Something that you get later into riding when you've settled in a bit.
As far as the bike, go for something bigger. Honestly at your weight, might recommend starting on a 650 parallel twin ninja. A 400 or 500 would be just fine though.
