Beef is crazy expensive in Canada, chicken is also more expensive than pork. Both of these are ran by government cartels, like dairy.

Pork is not a government cartel market and as such it is very cheap. I alternate between whole pork tenderloin and boneless whole pork loin (center+ribs). Tenderloin is very lean and whole pork loin is the cheapest boneless cut of meat I've found. I trim off the excess fat, don't eat that. Tenderloin is so lean there's hardly anything to trim.
