Some people wear gloves all the time and some people will cut beef all day barehanded and just wash their hands after but no one wants to handle pork with bare hands. Because it literally stinks. Even fresh pork that looks good can have a nasty almost shit smell. And sometimes it won't smell but you will get the juice from it on your forearm or something and not notice. Within a few hours you will absolutely smell like you rubbed dogshit on yourself. Most of the butchers don't even eat pork anymore after working with it. And that's not even mentioning the parasites. I do still eat bacon though. Being cured takes away alot of the nastiness.

in the US, fatty cuts of pork can be priced similar per pound as beef. There are good low fat cuts like tenderloin, which goes for only $4-5/lb, but not many ppl pay attention. I've only seen asian and black folks eat pork tenderloin.

That being said, fatty cuts of pork are absolutely delish, and a lot of people enjoy cuts like pork belly regardless of race, and it's used in some fine restaurants. Fancy breeds like iberico, duroc, berkshire will cost as much as wagyu beef, but they are worth the money for what they bring compared to beef IMO.
