It's a horror manga and unlike Clamp's works I doubt it's really romantic, it strikes me more as the kind of work that happens to have an obsessive, creepy homosexual relationship in its story.

The author, Usamaru Furuya, seems to have made various horror manga about the occult and he makes a lot of surreal works in general.
He drew a Raidou picture for Atlus in June. It wouldn't surprise me if Atlus' devs always enjoyed his work.
