iirc the original meaning of the "male loneliness epidemic" was that men aren't having enough time to spend with their friends outside of work, since lots of the fun venues closed down during the memedemic, and men are forced to work more hours than ever before just to get by. A lot of men have no social outlet exclusively with other men unless you count vidya. Women, of course, made it about themselves, and started parroting it as another way to call us virgins, incels, etc.
