By nature, they are designed to make you feel like you want more, so you will never truly have be satisfied with f2p, there's always a yearning.
The trick is to hope that the game you like just has the method that works best for you. Mihoyo games for example are forgiving if you just want a new character every few releases because pity is low. But the odds are so low that basically every time you plan to roll, you'll likely go to pity. Uma conversely has higher pity but also better rates.
Personally I just play FGO and just use the fact the NA server is 2 years behind to be able to plan way ahead and basically not have to worry despite its pity system being dogshit insanely high and every other game I just YOLO roll whenever I want. Also never listen to metafags in gacha either.
