Definitely true. Its a shame because some figure drawing courses I went to, the instructors taught people to draw without construction, and by using negative space. Actually drafting and constructing a copy, allows you to make changes when you realises you've fucked up, and actually think about what your doing, as opposed to alot of those Pinterest or reddit artists, that just copy something 1:1, with a pencil
